Installation
Overview
Installing Comala Document Management is a straightforward process. You can either:
Install via the Atlassian Marketplace (recommended), or
Download the app, then manually upload it
Confluence version
A compatible version of Comala Document Management must be installed for your version of Confluence.
See the Release Notes page for details of current version compatibility.
Marketplace installation
To install directly from Altassian Marketplace, navigate to Confluence Global Administration >Â Manage apps.
In the Manage apps screen choose the Find new apps link.
You'll be taken to the Find new apps screen.
You can then Search the Marketplace for Comala Document Management. Or, in most cases, it will be displayed as one of the featured apps.
Once you've found the Comala Document Management app
choose Install or Free trial if you just want to take it for a test drive, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
You will need to purchase a license through the Atlassian Marketplace or activate a free trial.
On installation, the app is configured by default, for use across all spaces in your instance with a number of workflow templates that are available to use in the instance.
For a new installation of the app, you can enable User Onboarding to provide users with on-screen help and helpful links to the documentation. The User Onboarding option only works for a new app installation.
To find older Comala Document Management versions compatible with your instance, you can look through our version history page.
Manual installation
Manual installation will sometimes be required, for example if your Confluence server or data center is air-gapped or a firewall is blocking access to the Atlassian Marketplace.
Download the latest version of the app (from the link in the Resources section near the bottom-right of our marketplace page) and then manually upload it to Confluence.
