Confused States - Grey Circle

 What are confused states?

If you delete or rename a state in a workflow template, any associated workflows that were in that state will now be confused – because the state doesn't exist any more.

Confused states are denoted by a grey status indicator circle – see State Status Indicator Circles.

Note: An invalid value for the color parameter in a {state} macro will also cause a grey circle.

How to fix?

It depends which mode the Space is running in...

In Space Mode:

• Workflow Authors: Add the missing state to the workflow template – no more confused states!
• Space Admins: For large-scale repairs – see: Initialize States
• End-users: For small-scale repairs, manually transition to valid state using buttons in the Workflow Popup.

In Page Mode:

• Workflow Authors: Add the missing state to the workflow template – no more confused states!
• Space Admins: This is why Space Mode was invented.
• End-users: Manually transition to valid state using buttons in the Workflow Popup.
