Add Workflow - Page Tools
Overview
Use this option to add a workflow to an individual page or blog post.
This option is only available in page mode and adds a copy of the chosen workflow template to the individual page or blog post.
Once added to the page, the added workflow is unique to the page.
Adding a workflow
Choose Page tools → Add Workflow...
This opens the Add workflow dialogue box.
Choose Apply only to page "currentpagename".
The Apply to all pages in the space … option is only displayed for a user with administrator permission in the space. Choosing this option opens the space tools document management dashboard.
Choose Next to open the Add workflow picker.
Select a workflow, then choose Apply.
Once added, you can interact with the workflow via the workflow status breadcrum added to the page sub-title. You can also view details of the workflow by choosing the workflow icon added to the page header.
Choose to open the workflow popup. | ||

In the Add workflow picker you can choose to customize a copy of the chosen workflow before applying to the page.
Choose Apply and Customize to open workflow builder to make changes to the copy of the workflow.
Creating a custom workflow
If you want to create a new workflow from scratch, choose Workflow with custom states at the bottom of the list in the Add workflow picker.
States in the workflow can be added or removed in the option box before choosing Apply and Customize to open workflow builder.
The workflow must be saved in workflow builder to apply to the page.
there is no option to apply this workflow directly to the page from the Add workflow dialogue box
the option to choose Workflow with custom states is only available in page mode
Where are the workflows defined?
The workflows on the list are stored at space or global level.
For more information see the flowchart on the Administration Guides home page.
When a workflow from the list is added to a page or blog post, a new copy of the workflow is made just for that specific page or blog post.
If you edit the workflow, it will only affect that page or blog post and nothing else; the workflows stored at space or global level are not affected, nor will any other content.
