Why can't I see the page activity report when I access a page?

Overview

The displayed page tools menu option and workflow status byline link to the workflow activity are based on the space data status and not the page data status.

Space document activity data status

Space with no previous workflow events or actions

When accessing a page in a space with no previous workflow events …

  • status byline links to Document Activity Report

  • only the Document Activity option is displayed in the page tools menu

On applying a workflow in this space with no previous workflow events or actions, the space upgrade status is set to “upgrade successful” (if no status had been previously set).

In this space both the Page Activity Report and the Document Activity Report can be accessed through their action/URL for each page.

Space with previous workflow events or actions that have not been yet upgraded

When accessing a page in a space with previous workflow events that have not been upgraded …

  • status byline links to the Page Activity Report

  • only the Page Activity option is displayed in the page tools menu

The space upgrade status is set to

  • “Check not started” if no status had been previously set

  • “Check successful” if pre-upgrade run completed

  • “Check unsuccessful” if pre-upgrade check run with errors

Space with “Upgrade successful” status

When accessing a page in a space with Upgrade successful status …

  • status byline links to Document Activity Report

  • only the Document Activity option is displayed in the page tools menu
