Migration

Considering migrating to cloud - here are the high-level milestones in the process and information sources on the Atlassian Confluence Cloud platform.

Migration high level milestone steps

STEP 1

Evaluate the Comala Document Management for Cloud app with your team and decide on the move to the Atlassian Confluence Cloud platform.

We have a product comparison of our server and cloud apps. There's also a features roadmap for Comala Document Management Cloud.

We recommend that you create a cloud test site and install a free trial of Comala Document Management Cloud.

STEP 2

Migrate your content, current workflow state and users using the Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant and apply your Comalatech cloud workflow to the newly migrated content in each space

STEP 3

Undertake a number of post migration manual steps to recreate your workflows in Cloud and update the workflow state for the documents in cloud

A more detailed guide to planning your migration, preparing your cloud site and reproducing your workflow in cloud can be found in Migration Process Steps guide.

Server timeline, migration options and completing the migration

You can also find further information on the end of life for Atlassian Server and options to migrate to either cloud or data center,

Also check the manual actions required to complete the migration. For example, you will need to install the Comala Document Management Cloud and recreate any custom workflows from server in Cloud using workflow builder.

But we are committed to a cloud experience that offers the same end result as that found in server - effective control and management of documentation.
