Overview
Adding Comala Document Approval to a page allows you to ensure that content is reviewed and signed-off.
The Document approval workflow can either be added on a page-by-page basis or added and applied to all pages in a space.
A user can then open the workflow popup to approve or reject the page. Based on the user decision the workflow will transition the Document approval workflow to a different workflow state.
If Approved content is updated, a new version is automatically created in the Review state.
Adding Comala Document Approval to one or more pages
In a space the Comala Document Approval app can operate in one of two modes
- add and apply to an individual page one at a time (page mode)using the page tools menu option
- add and apply to all the pages in the space (space mode) by enabling the approval workflow in the space tools Document Approval dashboard
- the approval workflow is applied to all the pages in the space
- the application of the approval workflow will override any existing approval added and applied to an individual page
- the approval workflow on all the content can be initialized to the same state
- an end-user will be unable to add or remove the approval workflow for an individual page
Only the space administrator can enable the Comala Document Approval workflow to add and apply to all content in the space.
If the workflow is not currently applied using the space tools, then an end-user can choose an individual page to add and apply the Comala Document Approval workflow on a page-by-page basis.
