Space Publishing Options

You can set the following options for publishing pages and blog posts in a space when publishing from the space tools Publishing dashboard.

To configure the publishing Space Publishing Options open the space tools Publishing dashboard

  • choose Configure

  • under Settings choose SPACE PUBLISHING OPTIONS

Publishing options set in Space Publishing Options will apply to content published via space Publish only. They do not affect single page-level publishing.

Space Publishing Options

The space publishing of content can be set to include either or both Pages and Blog Posts.

(blue star) The content data that is published for a blog post or page is configured in Content Options in the space tools Publishing dashboard.

Blog Posts

Check Blog Posts to include all blog posts when the space is published using the space tools Publishing dashboard.

Pages

Check Pages to include all pages when the space is published using the space tools Publishing dashboard.

The space home page is not published. If you want to publish the draft space home page you must check the Top-level pages option. Choosing to check this option also means that any orphan pages in the draft space will  be published.

Always Publish

Check Always Publish to publish all the source content, not just the content that has been updated.

Delete target space content (pages and blog posts)

Check Delete target space content (pages and blog posts) to delete all content found in the published space that is not in the source space.

This is a useful option when you first publish a space, for example, this can be used (with Top Level pages checked) to publish the draft space home page and to become the published space home page. The original home page in the published space is deleted.

You can also set the Content Option to remove all page history from the published content

Use final state version

Comala Publishing is compatible with the Comala Document Management Family of Apps.  Publishing the content can be set to the corresponding final (published) state in the Comalatech workflow applied to the source content.

Check Use final state version to publish the content version corresponding to the Comala Document Management workflow final state. Content will not be published if there is no final state version.

(info) Publishing of content will also occur when a content transition occurs to the final state in the workflow.

(star) Use final state version option does not publish the final state version if the current version is not the final version (content is in a draft workflow state) when Content Properties in Space Tools/Publishing/Content Options/Data to include is checked. If you view the publishing changes these pages will be flagged as awp unpublishable.
