Statetransitions editor
When a state is displayed in the state inspector panel choose Transitions to open the transitions editor for the current state.
Any existing
added transition types from the current
state and transition destination state (or destination state options for a select transition) will be displayed.
Edit an existing transition
Choose an existing transition to change the transition type and/or the destination state using the dropdown menus.
Choose Add to save the change.
Remove a transition
Mouse
over a transition and
choose the popup X to remove a transition.
For each edit ensure that
To save the changes to the state, ensure you choose Apply
.
Add a new transition
One or more transitions can be added to a state by choosing
the type of transition from a Transition
dropdown menu
the destination state from a State
dropdown menu
Choose the Transition
dropdown menu.
Choose a transition from the available transition types.
To complete the transition configure the destination state (or if select transition is chosen one or more destination states).
Choose the State v dropdown menu for the new transition.
For a submit transition only one destination state is possible.
To amend changes to state transitions, choose Add.
To avoid the loss of transition changes in the state you must then
add the changes to the workflow by choosing Save in the Navigation panel
add the updated workflow to the content or dashboard by selecting Exit in the Navigation panel
Approved and Rejected transitions
The Approved and Rejected transitions will only be available after and an
approval has been added to the state.
There is no requirement to add both the Approved and Rejected transition. Only one is required for the approval.
Adding an approval to the state restricts the choice of other transitions for the state
- the submit and select
transitions cannot be added.
Adding a condition for a transition
For Select transitions one or more conditions can be added that must be met for the select transition to be active.
Conditions for a select transition include
haslabel requiring the content to have the label or labels added as the condition value
user requires the current user to be one of the added users added as the condition value
Checking Invert
makes the condition
valid when the value(s) specified is not present.
If the condition is not met then the workflow popup on the content will not display the select transition option.
