Overview

By default, a workflow is all about the workflow. All versions of content are visible to anyone who has view access, and the workflow just helps manage the content production process. Each page or blog post with an applied workflow is simply in one of the workflow states.

You may decide to choose a single state in a workflow be your final page content. This state can be formally identified and set in a workflow as the final state and used to formalize your finalized contents

  • a link to the version created on transition to this final state is displayed on the page sub-title when the page or blog post is transitioned to another state in the workflow (same-space publishing)

  • the transition to a final state can also be used to publish a page to another space using the Comala Publishing app (different-space publishing)
