Editing the read confirmation macro

Overview

A user with edit permission can add a read confirmation to content using the read confirmation macro.

In addition to the read confirmation byline, the macro adds a configurable read confirmation bar to the content.

The display of the read confirmation bar can be configured by editing the macro.

Choose Edit the read confirmation macro on a draft page to configure the display of the read confirmation macro on the published page.

Uncheck a macro configuration option to remove the element from the read confirmation bar on the published content.

Changes will be previewed on the draft page in the macro before choosing to Publish the content.

If using the legacy editor, the Edit macro dialog box will be displayed.

The Edit Read Confirmation macro options are

Confirm button		When checked display Confirm button on the page for users that can confirm Additional text details read confirmation status for the current user
Page status	When checked displays a page status lozenge (if available) for the overall read confirmation status on the current page or blog post.
		PENDING status lozenge if no user has undertaken a read confirmation
		PARTIAL status lozenge if one or more of users assigned as readers has undertaken the read confirmation but not all readers have confirmed
		CONFIRMED status lozenge if all assigned readers have undertaken the read confirmation
Readers		When checked display on the page the user avatar of each user who has confirmed the read confirmation. choose a displayed reader avatar to open the user profile To view the current state for the assigned readers of the read confirmation choose the Assign or See Who button (if displayed\| to open the Read confirmation popup
Detailed view	When checked display an option button to open a dialogue box with details of the read confirmation including users assigned as readers and the current status of the read confirmation for each reader
		Assign button displayed if no users have confirmed the read confirmation choose to open Read confirmation popup
		See who button displayed if a user has confirmed the read confirmation. choose to open Read confirmation popup
