Copy space global administration

Global administrators can configure settings for Copy space in the Space Publishing global configuration dashboard for the app.

The global configuration screen allows you to manage the general configuration of the copy space configuration.

Some configuration options also affect space publishing

Copy space

A global administrator can edit

Properties prefixes and the sync-label can also be used when using Copy space to make a one-off copy to a target space.

Permissions settings

Global admins can define

  • the space administrators that can make a one-off copy of a space to a target space using Copy Space (Copiers Group)

  • the list of spaces that can be copied or published (Publishable Spaces)

Setting

Description

Default

Copiers Group

Only space administrators that are a member of the Copiers Group are allowed to copy a space.

Default: confluence-administrators

Publishable Spaces

Only the spaces indicated in the publishable spaces list can be published.

This setting also defines the spaces that can be published and synced using Space publishing.

Default: ANY

The space to be published to (the target space for space publishing) is configured in the space tools Space Publishing screen in the the source (draft) space (the space to be published)

Content properties to be copied

Global admins can define the information stored as content properties to be copied. These settings are applied for one-off copy space and space publishing.

Apps such as Comala Metadata and K15t Scaffolding store information as Content Properties. Each property has its own name.

Setting

Default

Description

Properties prefixes

metadata, com.communardo

Defines the prefixes of those properties you want to be copied for each document

Default values

  • metadata - metadata defined by the Comala Metadata and Comala Document Management apps

  • com.communardo - metadata defined by the Communardo Metadata app

Setting the content sync-label

Global admins can set the content label that a space admin can (optionally) use to configure content to be copied.

  • include content properties when copying

  • use or ignore the sync label as a filter for copying

Setting

Description

Default

Label

Define blog posts and pages to be copied. Add one or more labels in a comma-separated list.

This label is also used as the sync-label for space publishing (see Configure Space Publishing Settings - space tools)

Default global value for the label on app install is syncme

A space admin must choose whether to use the sync-label for copying. The default space setting is to ignore the sync-label.

A space administrator can choose to ignore or use the global sync-label as a filter when using Space publishing to publish and sync a source space and a target space.

Usage Statistics

You can also choose to uncheck the Send Usage Statistics checkbox to disable the sending of usage statistics to Comalatech.

Usage statistics when enabled sends usage details for space publishing, copy space and snapshot publishing.
