Overview
A select transition in a state allows a user to choose the destination state for the transition.
The select transition options for the destination state can be set to be a single choice from one or more of the states in the workflow.

A user manually transitions the workflow state using the workflow popup.
- a user can select a destination state using the dropdown menu in the workflow popup
- select options available for the choice of destination state are set by the workflow for the current state
- the select transition will not be present in a state when an approval is present in the state
A select transition can be added to any state in a custom workflow using workflow builder except where the state already has an approval (content review).
