After

  • backing up your server instance

  • setting up your migration cloud instance including installation of Comala Document Management for Cloud

  • updating to the latest Atlassian Migration Assistant

Then follow the Atlassian Migration Process.

In Confluence server global administration

  • scroll down the left-hand sidebar to Atlassian Cloud

  • select Migration Assistant  to open the Migrations dashboard

  • choose Create new migration

The Atlassian Confluence Migration Assistant will step you through the migration process including connecting to the destination cloud site.

When using the Atlassian Migration Assistant option to Assess Apps ensure you set the dropdown option for the Comala Document Management app as Needed in cloud.

(info) The following may be listed in the migration assistant error check when creating the migration.

Due to the complexity of the migration process and the known issue affecting the migration of current state of restricted pages.

We recommend migrating space by space to mitigate the risk that an issue with one space delays your migration of other spaces.

It is not a blocking error and you can continue the migration but we recommend reviewing the restricted pages and running the migration after your review and if appropriate, a change in the page restrictions.

You may like to test the migration process by initially creating the migration for a single pair of spaces - a source space and the linked target space.
