Overview

Power users of Comala Document Management workflows may choose to run multiple active workflows in one space and applied to all pages. Combined with the use of workflow label filters this permits great flexibility.

Cautions

For each page in a space

  • only one active workflow can have a final state

  • only one active workflow can have read confirmation

  • triggers from all workflows will apply

For multiple workflows enabled in a space

  • the priority order of application to content will be defined alphabetically

You can have control over the workflow order by changing the name of the workflow.

Enabled workflows will be applied based on the content label filter if present. Priority in the application of the enabled space workflows will be implemented if the content has more than one of the active workflow content label filters as a label.

  • for content with multiple content filter labels, the enabled content label filter workflow implemented will be the one alphabetically listed highest in the space tools Document Management dashboard

In our example above, content in the space with both label a and label b, would have the Simple Approval workflow with the content label filter a applied, as the workflow is listed first in the alphabetical workflow name order in the space tools Document Management dashboard.
