Page Activity is a key capability for many of our customers. Comala Document Management 7 Data Center will have a new improved capability, Document Activity, to report on your page activity. This is a significant change and will require an upgrade of existing data.
To ensure that the activity upgrade is complete and accurate, we will need customers to enable Read Only Mode. As this capability is only available in Confluence data center, Comala Document Management 7 will be data center only.
Planned release of Comala Document Management 7 is Q4 2022 - Q1 2023
Upgrade checks
To help you manage the impact on your users caused by scheduled maintenance periods, we are providing an upgrade check process to
validate that the upgrade can be undertaken
provide an indication of the time required for the upgrade
identify upgrade errors for specific pages in each space
If there is an error when running the upgrade check for a space a downloadable support package is created to allow the review of the validation checks.
These upgrade checks do not require you to enable Read Only Mode.
Comala Document Management 6.17+ for server and data center provides the ability to run
upgrade checks on a space-by-space basis so that you may validate your existing activity and get upgrade duration estimates (does not require Read Only Mode)
Comala Document Management 7.0 for data center only (on release) will provide the ability to run
upgrade checks and upgrades on a space-by-space basis allowing you to prioritize and schedule each space upgrade
Both the upgrade checks and the upgrade can be executed on a space-by-space basis to minimize the impact on your end-users
Comala Document Management 6.18+
SERVER
The new Document Activity capabilities will not be available for Comala Document Management Server.
We will continue to provide compatibility, security updates and bug fixes for Comala Document Management server until 15 Feb 2024 when Atlassian ends support for Server products.
