Enable publishing from a space

Once the app is installed in the instance you can enable publishing of content in the current space in the space settings Publishing dashboard.

The current space is the draft space. In the space tools Publishing dashboard you will need to set a Target Space.

The target space is the destination space where the content will be published.

The dropdown menu will list the available spaces to add as the target space. If the current user does not have view and edit permission for a space it not be available in the dropdown menu.

Comala Publishing cannot publish from a space that has already been set as a target space for publishing.

Changing the target space

If you need to change the target space after content has already been published from the source space, only content that has not been previously published can be published to the new space.

The space settings Publishing configuration dashboard will display a warning banner.

To publish all the content in the source space to a new target space you can either

  • delete the previous target space (or delete the previously published documents from this previous target space)
  • move all the published documents from the previous target space to the new target space

(info) If you don't delete or move the previous target documents to the new target space then these documents will continue to be published to the previous target space.
