Overview

In a content review, you will be able to assign and unassign one or more users as a reviewer.

Look for the + Add reviewers button in the approval popup:

You will need view plus edit or admin permission to add or unassign a reviewer.

Assigning a reviewer

Choose the + Add Reviewer button in the popup.

You will be presented with a search screen like the one shown below:

You can search by full nameusername, or email address. You'll usually need to type two or more characters before the results will appear.

When you've found who you're looking for,  tick the checkbox on the right to assign them to the review.
If you need to leave a note for the reviewer add the message to the Add a note text box before you choose the blue Assign button. The user will see this in a notification. The note is also displayed in the Approval History

Saving changes

To save the assignment of the reviewer, click the blue Assign button. You will see the assignee avatar added to the approval popup:

When the assigned reviewer visits the content they will see an on-screen message displayed.

The assigned reviewer viewing the content will only see their avatar displayed in the approval popup if there are other assignees.

Once a content review has been assigned to a user, all other users, including Admin users, will be unable to undertake the review. They will be able to assign or unassign reviewers using the approval popup.

The Approve and Reject buttons will be disabled and if these are chosen the following on-screen message will be displayed.

An error message may also be displayed in the approval popup. Simply refresh the content to remove the message.

Unassigning reviewers

Although admin users cannot undertake an assigned content review, admin users can assign new reviewers and unassign existing reviewers for an approval.

To reassign or unassign reviewers choose the PLUS button or one of the displayed reviewer avatars in the approval popup.

Unassign

Hover over the grey tick checkbox  for the assigned user and click to uncheck.

Choose the Unassign button to remove the reviewer.

The approval can now be undertaken by any user with view or edit permission for the page or blog.
