Overview
A user publishing content requires view and edit permission in both the draft (source) and the target space. A custom publishing error message will be displayed if the user does not have these page permissions in the target space.
User with ONLY VIEW permission in target space
A user with view and edit permission in the draft space but only view permission in the configured target space will not be able to publish the content and will see the following message.
User without permission in target space
A user with view and edit permission in the draft space but without page permissions in the configured target space will not be able to publish the content and will see the following message.
Space publishing and space administrator page permissions
If a space administrator does not have page view and edit permission for a page in the source space when publishing all the space content, the page will not be published.
This unpublished page is also not reported under the Pages that were not published list in the Space publishing job completed message that is added to the source space settings Publishing dashboard after all the content in the space is published.
This is because the view and edit permissions cause the page to be hidden from the Comala Publishing action for this space administrator for the restricted pages.
For details please view the Space publishing page in the documentation.
