When the Approvals workflow is A Document Approval workflow added and applied to an individual page, it can be removed by choosing using the Remove Page Approval option the page tools menu.

When removing the page approval, you can choose to delete the Approval History clear or retain the document activity for the page or if needed you can retain the history.
A popup is displayed with two options for to confirm removal of the page approval.

check the Delete Document Activity to remove document activity on the page when removing the page approval
leave Delete Document Activity unchecked to retain the document activity on the page or blog post when removing the page approval
Choose Remove to remove the page approval.
After removal of a page approvalwapproval, if a new page approval workflow is added when Approval History Document Activity was retained:
the last approval state in the
approval historydocument activity will be applied - not the initial Review state of the new page

if the current state is one of the draft states, Review or Rejected and the content had previously been in the Approved state then the page sub-title will include a breadcrumb link to the approved
