Collection users
The collection manager is the user who created the collection. The collection manager can configure the collection permissions to manage the Confluence users and user groups who
can view the collection (collection viewers)

UseA collection can be used to organize and share snapshots of Confluence pages with the right people, while maintaining control over who can access and edit the information. A snapshot document can be added to multiple collections if the same information needs to be distributed to several different groups of users. Likewise, teams can contribute their content to a collection from their own spaces. |
Viewing collections
The collections global viewer is accessed from the Confluence header menu bar.

A collection contributor can be a collection manager and space administrator in another space. A collection manager added as a contributor can link the collection to their space. |
Once a collection is created
snapshots can be created and added by collection contributors in the space
snapshots can be added from other spaces linked to the collection
page editors who have been added as contributors to the collection can add snapshots from a space that has been linked to the collection
the space administrator can manage the collection in the space and snapshots in collections using the snapshot publishing dashboard
The collection manager must be a space administrator and be a member of the user group added to Snapshot Publishers in the app global configuration.
Create a collection
Collections can be created by a space administrator collection manager in any space that is enabled for snapshot publishing using the space tools snapshot publishing dashboardwhere they are a space administrator.
A space enabled for snapshot publishing creates a default collection for the space. This collection name is the spacekey for the space.
Choose the Add Collection button option.
In the New Collection dialog box add a name for the collection . You can also add and a description.
The collection permissions for Viewers and Contributors can be added now or amended later.
To add user permissions for the collection
choose Viewers/Contributors dropdown Groups menu
select Groups or Users
use the Unset drop down menu to add one or more Confluence user groups or users
Choose Save to create the collection and add to the current space.
On a Confluence document in the space, the added collection will be available as a collection option in the snapshot publishing popup to add a snapshot document.

Managing a collection in a space
A space administrator can manage a collection in a space using the space snapshot publishing dashboard using the ellipsis menu option for each collection.
The Edit and Remove options will only be accessible if the current space administrator is also the collection manager for the collection.
Managing a snapshot in a collection
A snapshot in a collection in the space can be managed by the space administrator using the snapshot ellipsis menu for each snapshot.
A space administrator can
link the snapshot to another collection in the space
move the snapshot to another collection in the space
remove the snapshot from the current collection
Linking a collection to a space
Collections created in other spacescan be linked to a space that is enabled for snapshot publishing using the space tools snapshot publishing dashboard.
Linking a collection created in another space allows users in the current space to add snapshots from the space to that collection.
