Add an icon to a container

You can display a unique icon in each board container using the Design boards container icon tool in the board editor.

  1. Edit the page with the added board

  2. Choose Edit the Comala Board macro

  3. If not displayed, select Design board

  4. Choose the icon tool

    • scroll down drop-down menu to view and choose from the icon library in the app

    • alternatively, you can add a URL to link to an image file for the icon. This could be a local link to an image file in your space or instance or a web repository

    • adding an icon to the container will remove any existing icon

    • you can choose X Remove container icon to remove an existing icon for a container

  5. Choose Apply in the board editor to add the changes to the board macro on the draft page

  6. Update the page

The icon source must be a Base64-encoded string or a link.

url(data:image/png;base64,R0lGODlhFAAUAKUAAP////7+/h4eH...............)
url('https://the.icon.source/icon.png')

One useful practice is to have a source page in Confluence that contains any icons.

(info) You can also edit the name, description, and label(s) of each container by choosing each container in the Design board.
