Space publishing status lozenges

Space publishing status lozenges

On linking a source space and target space in the space publishing dashboard by default the documents in in each space will display a publishing status lozenge. The lozenge displays the current publishing sync status for the document.

If a document in the source space has not yet been published the status lozenge is set as NEW.

  • the NEW a blue NEW lozenge if a new content has been created in the source space and is not yet published to the target space (or if a previously published document is deleted from either the target or source space)

  • PUBLISHED a green PUBLISHED lozenge if the content has been published and the source and target published space are still the same

  • out of sync a yellow OUT OF SYNC lozenge if the document has changed in either the source space or the target space

Deleted or removed documents

If a previously published document is

  • deleted from or moved out of the target space, the source space document status will be updated to display NEW - a blue NEW lozenge

  • deleted from or moved out of the source space, the target space document status will be updated to display NEW - a blue NEW lozenge

If you recreate a source space document after deleting the previously published source space document, you will need to

  • remove the previously published target space document

  • then publish and sync the new source space document

Who can see the space publishing status lozenge?

The display of the space publishing status lozenge on the source space content can be configured in space publishing settings.

Display Publishing Status Lozenge option is enabled by default to display the status lozenge on documents in the source space.

If you have Comala Document Management installed it may be useful for clarity to hide the space publishing status lozenge.

In the target space the display of the publishing status lozenge is based on the current user Confluence permissions for the content in the source space.

If the current user

  • has view permission for the source content, they will see the status lozenge. A link to the source space page is also displayed

  • does not have view permission for the source content, the status lozenge is not displayed on the target space content. There is also no link displayed to the source space content.
