Overview

When the approval workflow is added to a page or blog post, the approvals content byline item is added below the page/blog heading.

The name of the current approvals workflow state is shown next to a coloured status indicator circle.

Byline status

Choosing the status indicator circle and state name breadcrumbs will open the approval popup.

The content byline item will change to show the current approval status. There are 3 approval states in the Approval workflow:

Document initial approval state on workflow application

  • draft content state

  • content review (approval) state

Document content rejected approval workflow state

  • draft content state

  • content review (approval) state

Document content approved approval workflow state

  • approved content state

Last approved version breadcrumb

When the document is in a draft workflow state, either

  • Review

  • or Rejected

if there is also an approved (published) version of the document, the content byline item will include a link to the last version of the document in the approved workflow state.

If the status indicator circle on the content byline item is filled it means you as the current user, are assigned to review the content.
