If you drag a card and run into an error like the following:

You cannot update Story Points in this screen. Contact your administrator to enable
the "Story Points" field for the "Default Screen" or "{Project Key}: {'Scrum' OR 'Kanban'} Default Issue screen". More info here.
This error means that your JIRA configuration doesn't allow to update the value of that custom field in the current screen. In the following example, we show how to associate the field "Story Points" to the "Default Screen".
Remember
The user needs administration permission to perform the following actions.
- log in as a user with the JIRA Administrators permission
- choose
> Issues. Select Custom fields to open the Custom fields page, which lists all custom fields - select in the Story Points row to select "Screens"
- select the appropriate screen to associate the "Story Points" field (in this case, "Default Screen")
- choose Save
- then go back to your board
