You will need a Confluence server version that supports migration.

For Confluence v6.13+ the Atlassian Migration Assistant is installed when you set up your instance. You will need to simply check in Confluence global administration that you have the latest update for the Atlassian Migration Assistant.

If you have Confluence v5.10 - v6.12 you will need to install the Atlassian Migration Assistant. It is recommended however that you have the most recent version of Confluence possible prior to migration.

(star) You should also have the most recent version of our Comala Document Management for Server app installed. If required, you can simply install a trial version licence for the purposes of migration.

The Atlassian migration assistant in cloud will also check and amend data errors. It will check that your

  • migration assistant app is up to date

  • users have valid and unique email addresses

  • groups will merge through the migration process

  • spaces already exist in your Cloud site
