When the Approvals workflow is added and applied to an individual page, it can be removed by choosing the page tools menu.
When removing the page approval, you can choose to delete the Approval History for the page or if needed you can retain the history.
A popup is displayed with two options for removal of the page approval.
- Remove and delete History - removes the page approval and all approval history on the page.
- Remove and keep History - removes the page approval and retains all approval history on the page.
After removal of a page approval, if a new page approval is added when Approval History was retained:
- the last approval state in the approval history will be applied - not the initial Review state of the new page approval.
- if the current state is one of the draft states, Review or Rejected and the content had previously been in the Approved state then the page sub-title will include a breadcrumb link to the approved content
The Remove Page Approval option appears on pages and blog posts:
- only when a Page Approval has been added to the individual page - and space approval is disabled.
If the user does not have space admin permission the popup will not display any option to retain or keep approval history. The approval history is retained by default.
A space approval on a page can only be removed by disabling the approval in space tools. You can also clear the approval history for all the content in the space.
