You can copy one space to another space in the instance when you have a space with information you want to replicate.

This option is a one-off copy - it copies a space as it exists at a point in time.

You must set a target space prior to each copy of the space content.

  • Copy Space is different target space configuration to space publishing

  • content to be copied is also configured separately to the publishing options

To copy a space you will need to

  • have space admin permission in the space you want to copy

  • have at least View, Edit and Delete permission for pages, blog posts, and attachments in the target space

  • to be a member of the Confluence user group added to the Copiers Group in theCopy Space - global configuration

Copying a space

To copy one space to another you must first configure a target space for the copy.

  • Choose Copy Space in the space tools menu

  • in the space tools Copy space dashboard select the Target Space for the content to be copied to using the dropdown menu.

You will need view and edit permissions for the target space.

If required you can configure the content type and the page content to be copied by configuring the copy options prior to copying the space using the Copy space button.
